The Library of the Centre for Polymer and Carbon Materials of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Zabrze collects books and scientific journals from fields of interest to the Centre’s scientific staff, such as chemistry, polymer physics and technology, carbon chemistry, physics, environmental protection, biotechnology, etc.

Currently, the library’s collection contains 10,685 volumes of books and 4,291 volumes of journals.

Information about the book collections is available through the computer catalogue in the Libra system, which is updated on an ongoing basis. A description of this system and how to use the library electronically are available in the Help tab.

The Center has online access to journals from the following publishers under national and consortium licenses: Elsevier (yearbooks from 1995), Springer (yearbooks with all electronically available archive yearbooks), Science (yearbooks from 2010), Nature (yearbooks from 2010), Wiley (yearbooks from 1996), American Chemical Society (yearbooks from 1996) and Science Citation Index Expanded on the Web of Sciences platform (data from 1945).

The Library provides all library materials on-site to people outside the Center and lends books on interlibrary loan.
