The aim of the project is to develop a new route for the synthesis of star-shaped poly(2-oxazoline) which is a combination of cationic polymerization with ring-opening of selected 2-oxazoline monomers with click reactions. The use of a novel approach in the synthesis of polymers using these two types of reactions will allow to obtain in a controlled manner stellar-shaped structures with well-defined properties, containing amine functional groups capable of interacting with various bioactive compounds.
