On February 1, 2011, the Polish-Romanian Laboratory ADVAPOL – “Advanced polymer and biopolymer-based materials” began its operations.

The aim of the established Laboratory is to conduct joint research in the field of polymers and biopolymers and materials obtained from them. The Laboratory is located at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry “Petru Poni” of the Romanian Academy of Sciences in Iasi and the Center of Polymer and Carbon Materials of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CMPW PAN) in Zabrze.
