On March 26, 2026, the Centre of Polymer and Carbon Materials of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Zabrze will host an international scientific workshop entitled “International Workshop on Multifunctional Polymer Composites for Advanced Applications.” The event is part of the NAWA “Welcome to Poland” project, financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (No. BNP/WTP/2023/1/00015).
The workshop will focus on modern polymer composites and their multifunctional, engineered properties and advanced applications. The aim of the meeting is to integrate the scientific community and exchange current knowledge on the structure, processing, and functionalization of composite materials. The event is addressed to doctoral students and young scientists conducting research on functional polymers, additives, and active fillers used, among others, in structural, electronic, sensory, and medical systems.
The program includes lectures by experts from Poland and abroad, a session of oral and poster presentations by young researchers, and practical workshops on the use of modern techniques for analyzing polymer and composite materials. The meeting will create a space for scientific discussion, establishing interdisciplinary cooperation, and initiating joint research activities.
